SOME DRUG INTERACTION
Following drug combinations should not be prescribed simultaneously:
1. Phenobarbitone with warferin: It causes continuous bleeding
2.Erythromycin with warferin: It increases toxicity and Causing more bleeding.
3.Ciprofloxacin with olanzapine :plasma concentration increase in our body
4.Nitroglcerine ,Isosobide nitrate
with
Tadafill,Silendenafil : causes very low B.P
5.Virapamil with Atenolol: decreased B.P and causing drug allergy
6.Lidocaine Hcl ( anaesthetic drug)
with
Beta blocker drugs
(metoprolol,Atenolol,Nebivolol,Bisoprolol,Acetubulol,Betaxolol,Esmolol): decreased heart rate causing low B.P
7.Tetracycline ( e.g Doxycycline) with Calcium gluconate injection : Toxicity increased causing Lever damage.
8.Potassium chloride with Spironolactone: Increases potassium level in blood causing dangerous effect.
9.Theophylline with Ciprofloxacin : Increased toxicity causing Severe seizures.
10.Pimozide with Ketoconazole : will Cause Severe allergy thereby seizures develop.
11.Aspirine with warferin: will Cause Severe bleeding.
12.Proton pumpinhibitors( e.g Pantoprazole, Lansoprazole, Esomeprazole Rabeprazole etc.)
With
H2 blockers ( Ranitidine, Cimetidine, Famotidine,Nizatidine): excessive decreased acid concentration causing Increased PH in stomach.
13. Nasal Decongestant ( like Otrivine)
with
Amlodifine Atenolol: will increase blood pressure.
14.Warferine with chlorophenicol: Toxicity will increase.
15. Tetracycline shouldn't take with milk.
